16 04 2009

For my Publications class we were asked to create various promotional ideas to well… promote our launch and our magazine. Asked to create an A3 file which presents a number of different ideas. =)

We were asked to make a pagination of a magazine of our choice. I decided to do a magazine called Venue and came up with two different posters, one black, one white. =)

We were told to create our own letter forms through the use of physical things found with in a certain environment. Out of that, we were to create a layout, in which to present given text. Originally I wanted to use other objects, but I found that they were too difficult to edit and morph, so as a last minute idea I decided to use cutlery.

We were asked to scan an object and to take a photograph of another object. Through manipulation in Photoshop, we were to link these two objects with a word in order to create a poster. I decided to go with the idea of a ‘memory box’. I took a photo of a shoebox, and scanned pieces of paper together… in order to make this:

I had a crack at doing these squiggles/doodles. Some ppl make it look so easy. Gosh I had a difficult time trying to make everything look even, and not messy. How do people do this?! *jealous*

I’ll probably edit this in illus or ps, I shall post that up soon. =)

The picture I created was meant to represent love and unrequited love. I hope I did it well enough so you can interepret it as I wished for it to be presented… eep.

Customise Mastheads

2 04 2009

In our Publications class we were asked to create mastheads that would embody what our online magazine was about. I decided to present the following three ideas onto the board.

I’m quite happy, because the 1st and 3rd designs have been chosen in which I’m told to edit further and to place them into a given context! =) yay! I’ll be sure to post the new, edited designs soon enough.
